Substance Use Assessment

The Substance Use Assessment used by Heartland RADAC is an adaptation of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Patient Placement Criteria, which areĀ used nationwide by substance abuse professionals.

The assessment is used as a tool which guides the licensed assessment professional in gathering information in six areas of a client's life in order to determine if a substance use disorder exists, and to assist in determining what level of treatment would best meet the client's needs.
