Service Delivery By Heartland RADAC During COVID

Heartland RADAC continues to serve clients while maintaining effective health and safety protocols for both clients and staff.

Heartland RADAC requests that all clients and staff practice safe social distancing recommendations while engaged in services.  All local mandates by local county or municipality health departments, will also be followed. Masks are recommended for any in-person contact, especially if you have not been vaccinated.

In-person Assessments, Case Management, Peer/Recovery Coaching, and Treatment are available.  Phone, and video appointments are available on a limited basis, dependent on client access to a phone or computer.  We are now required to get signatures on releases, as the state of emergency waiver which allowed verbal consent has expired.  Signatures can be obtained via DocuSign, if you have access to a cell phone or email, or you can download the forms from the Release Forms & Notifications link at the bottom of this page.

Please call us at 913-789-0951 or 1-800-281-0029 to schedule an assessment.

Schedulers will ask you a series of questions to determine your eligibility and the type of service (in-person, phone, or video) which will best meet your individual needs.

Creative Ways to Help Charities Without Spending a Cent

Sometimes you don't have the money you want to help out your favorite charity. Your budget may be a little tight or maybe you've already spent your allotment for donations. There are still many ways you can help a charity without spending a cent.

The obvious is to donate your time. Most organizations need help and you probably have a skill that they need. For instance, if you are an accountant, you could manage the books. Or if you are an electrician, you could offer free service.

You can do a little extra in your online world. Place the website of your favorite charity or cause in the signature of your e-mail, especially if there’s a special event. Use your social media networks to spread the word about your cause. Some websites pay charities when you click on a button and view advertisements. In addition, GoodSearch pays nonprofits every time you conduct an internet search.

Use credit cards that have special programs that contribute proceeds to your charity of choice; and do business with companies that give back a percentage of sales to organizations you support. Or do some business of your own by having a garage sale or set up an eBay store. They have a system called Giving Works that allows you to donate the money and receive a tax deduction.

Try advertising your charity in subtle ways. Wear a t-shirt that showcases the organization when you go out or place a bumper sticker on your car.

There are many ways to give back to your favorite charity without spending cash, so get creative. And if all else fails, call the organization for more ideas.

Beautiful things grow when we work together for good.
