Service Delivery By Heartland RADAC During COVID

Heartland RADAC continues to serve clients while maintaining effective health and safety protocols for both clients and staff.

Heartland RADAC requests that all clients and staff practice safe social distancing recommendations while engaged in services.  All local mandates by local county or municipality health departments, will also be followed. Masks are recommended for any in-person contact, especially if you have not been vaccinated.

In-person Assessments, Case Management, Peer/Recovery Coaching, and Treatment are available.  Phone, and video appointments are available on a limited basis, dependent on client access to a phone or computer.  We are now required to get signatures on releases, as the state of emergency waiver which allowed verbal consent has expired.  Signatures can be obtained via DocuSign, if you have access to a cell phone or email, or you can download the forms from the Release Forms & Notifications link at the bottom of this page.

Please call us at 913-789-0951 or 1-800-281-0029 to schedule an assessment.

Schedulers will ask you a series of questions to determine your eligibility and the type of service (in-person, phone, or video) which will best meet your individual needs.

Pink. It’s the New Color For Fall.

It’s October now and signs of fall abound. While the leaves are turning their brilliant yellows, reds and oranges, there’s another color on full display. It is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which means pink is in. Breast cancer affects nearly one in eight women, putting it at the number one cancer among women. With those numbers, most of us know someone affected by breast cancer. Here are some ways to support the cause.

Go on a walk.
Throughout the month you can expect a breast cancer awareness walk in the community. They’re a great way to bring people together who are affected by breast cancer and help raise money to find a cure. If you know someone affected by breast cancer—or even if you don’t—you can show your support and enjoy the beautiful fall weather before the snow hits the ground.

Watch football.
Throughout the month of October, some pretty manly-men will be sporting pink to support breast caner awareness. The National Football League has players wearing pink shoes, gloves, sweat bands and pink ribbons on their helmets. Coaches and referees wear pink hats. But more importantly, you can purchase specially branded NFL merchandise with proceeds going to charities that support breast cancer awareness, while you also support your favorite team.

Get an early start on gift giving.
The holidays are just around the corner so start checking off your list with merchandise that gives funds to breast cancer awareness. There are literally hundreds of products available that should fit almost anyone on your list. If you’re wanting to make it easy on yourself, give the gift of charity and donate cash to an organization in your loved one’s name.

Beautiful things grow when we work together for good.
