Service Delivery By Heartland RADAC During COVID

Heartland RADAC continues to serve clients while maintaining effective health and safety protocols for both clients and staff.

Heartland RADAC requests that all clients and staff practice safe social distancing recommendations while engaged in services.  All local mandates by local county or municipality health departments, will also be followed. Masks are recommended for any in-person contact, especially if you have not been vaccinated.

In-person Assessments, Case Management, Peer/Recovery Coaching, and Treatment are available.  Phone, and video appointments are available on a limited basis, dependent on client access to a phone or computer.  We are now required to get signatures on releases, as the state of emergency waiver which allowed verbal consent has expired.  Signatures can be obtained via DocuSign, if you have access to a cell phone or email, or you can download the forms from the Release Forms & Notifications link at the bottom of this page.

Please call us at 913-789-0951 or 1-800-281-0029 to schedule an assessment.

Schedulers will ask you a series of questions to determine your eligibility and the type of service (in-person, phone, or video) which will best meet your individual needs.

Free Those Toes and Go One Day Without Shoes

Tomorrow you can leave your shoes at home and raise awareness for a cause that affects forty percent of the world. April 5 is One Day Without Shoes sponsored by TOMS Shoes. Why would a shoe company sponsor a day where people are encouraged to go shoeless?

TOMS Shoes was founded on the One for One Movement. For every pair of shoes the company sells, they donate a pair of shoes to a child in need. One Day Without Shoes helps raise awareness for their cause.

This year, TOMS Shoes created the Barefoot Challenge. This encourages businesses and organizations to go barefoot for the day. The group with the most pledges to go barefoot will have TOMS Shoes founder, Blake Mycoskie come speak for them. Ten employees will be drawn at random for the opportunity to go on a shoe drop in a nearby community where children need shoes.

Companies such as AOL, Southwest Airlines and McCann Worldgroup will be participating. Last year the Jonas Brothers, Kristen Bell, Olivia Wilde, and Brittany Snow used their celebrity status to help raise awareness.

Can you go a day without shoes? Check out www.onedaywithoutshoes.com to discover the events happening in the area.

Beautiful things grow when we work together for good.
