Service Delivery By Heartland RADAC During COVID

Heartland RADAC continues to serve clients while maintaining effective health and safety protocols for both clients and staff.

Heartland RADAC requests that all clients and staff practice safe social distancing recommendations while engaged in services.  All local mandates by local county or municipality health departments, will also be followed. Masks are recommended for any in-person contact, especially if you have not been vaccinated.

In-person Assessments, Case Management, Peer/Recovery Coaching, and Treatment are available.  Phone, and video appointments are available on a limited basis, dependent on client access to a phone or computer.  We are now required to get signatures on releases, as the state of emergency waiver which allowed verbal consent has expired.  Signatures can be obtained via DocuSign, if you have access to a cell phone or email, or you can download the forms from the Release Forms & Notifications link at the bottom of this page.

Please call us at 913-789-0951 or 1-800-281-0029 to schedule an assessment.

Schedulers will ask you a series of questions to determine your eligibility and the type of service (in-person, phone, or video) which will best meet your individual needs.

Every Penny Counts: Why Your Micro-Donations Matter

You’ve most likely been asked at some point if you want to round up your purchase to the nearest dollar and donate the difference to a nonprofit. If you said yes, you made a big difference. It might seem like $0.18 is too measly to accomplish anything, but a donation of any size helps fulfill an important mission.

The idea of donating change to charity has been around for ages, but the increase of electronic purchases has made contributing even easier. If you’ve been hesitant to make a micro-donation in the past, here are three reasons why it’s a great way to support nonprofits:

- It’s convenient. Most of the time, it’s a matter of hitting “yes” on a screen. You don’t have to take the time to look up how you can donate to a charity, you don’t have to drive anywhere and you don’t even have to take coins out of your wallet.

- It allows you to support a variety of nonprofits. The grocery store might ask you to support a backpack food program at a local school, and your favorite clothing retailer might ask you to contribute to a fund for children’s cancer research. As you come across different causes and organizations, you might just find one that you want to support on a regular basis.

- There are opportunities to donate to a charity of your choice.
If you are loyal to a particular organization, there are several programs and sites that will allow you to choose where you’d like your change to go. You can have the same impact as you would with one single donation, but this way you’re able to do it in smaller increments.

Beautiful things grow when we work together for good.
