Service Delivery By Heartland RADAC During COVID

Heartland RADAC continues to serve clients while maintaining effective health and safety protocols for both clients and staff.

Heartland RADAC requests that all clients and staff practice safe social distancing recommendations while engaged in services.  All local mandates by local county or municipality health departments, will also be followed. Masks are recommended for any in-person contact, especially if you have not been vaccinated.

In-person Assessments, Case Management, Peer/Recovery Coaching, and Treatment are available.  Phone, and video appointments are available on a limited basis, dependent on client access to a phone or computer.  We are now required to get signatures on releases, as the state of emergency waiver which allowed verbal consent has expired.  Signatures can be obtained via DocuSign, if you have access to a cell phone or email, or you can download the forms from the Release Forms & Notifications link at the bottom of this page.

Please call us at 913-789-0951 or 1-800-281-0029 to schedule an assessment.

Schedulers will ask you a series of questions to determine your eligibility and the type of service (in-person, phone, or video) which will best meet your individual needs.

Get Ready for Holiday Giving

It’s October and you’ve barely thought of what face you’ll be carving on this year’s pumpkin. But it may be time to start thinking about how you plan to give to your favorite nonprofit organizations this holiday season. Here are a few ideas to get you in the holiday spirit.

Help With a Holiday Meal
Many nonprofit organizations plan special holiday meals around Thanksgiving and Christmas. After you’ve had your family meal, take the entire family to the local soup kitchen to serve. Make this a new family tradition. Or if you know of a local family who could use some extra help this holiday season because of health or financial reasons, prepare some extra food and take them a meal.

Start Stocking Up
Now is the time to start shopping for some inexpensive items to donate to a gift drive. There are several opportunities to contribute to organizations that make sure every child has a gift this holiday season. If you start now, you’ll have plenty of time to make room in your budget for a few extra small items. You may even find a few unopened gifts in your closets.

Start Working on Your Budget
You know you’re going to get the year end asks from several of your favorite nonprofits. Think about which organizations could use your help and how much you think you’ll be able to give this holiday season. This way, when the mail arrives you’ll be prepared to write the check without worrying about your budget.

Beautiful things grow when we work together for good.
